This is a great illustration of a great point! I was left with this impression after walking through Dharavi. The variety of dense and unique spaces gave it the feel of a traditional town that had evolved over centuries into a charming tourist destination, but with origins not so unlike those of an informal settlement. Thank you for posting these.
